On Tuesday, September 26, 2017 the ACLU-North Carolina Legal Director Christopher Brook will speak on Freedom of Religion and Belief in the Age of Trump. The meeting will be held from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Polo Park Community Center, 1850 Polo Road, in Winston-Salem, NC.
Trump's travel ban, North Carolina's support for vouchers, and ACLU litigation against the Rowan County Commissioners' legislative prayer practice will be among the topics addressed by Mr. Brook. A native of North Carolina, Christopher Brook graduated from Carolina Law in 2005 and was in private practice for three years before joining the Southern Coalition for Social Justice in Durham, where he specialized in environmental justice and constitutional law. He has been Legal Director at ACLU of North Carolina since 2012.
