The bimonthly meeting of the Delaware Valley Americans United chapter’s Bucks County Committee will take place at 7pm on Tuesdays every other month.

The Tuesday December 13 2011 meeting, at 7pm in the Doylestown Public Library, 150 S Pine St, Doylestown, PA 18901, will feature John Seager, President of the Population Connection. Since 1968, Population Connection (formerly Zero Population Growth or ZPG) has been America’s voice for population stabilization. Population Connection works to ensure that every woman around the world who wants to delay or end her childbearing has access to the health services and contraceptive supplies she needs in order to do so. Typically, when woman have access to affordable birth control, they have fewer children, regardless of income or educational levels.

John Seager is the President and CEO of Population Connection – having first joined the organization in 1996. He previously served at the US EPA during the Clinton Administration. John was also Chief of Staff for former US Rep. Peter H. Kostmayer (D-PA) who was a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs and Interior committees.

A graduate of Trinity College (CT) with a B.A. in Political Science, John travels throughout the US making presentations on global population growth. He visits numerous campuses and other communities to speak as part of a course or in some other venue. John has written articles on population topics ranging from the links to poverty, future outcomes and the concern about population decline in some highly developed nations.

DVAU will bring John back to speak to the Chapter at our January 19, 2012 meeting in Philadelphia.
