U.S. Senate Votes Against School Vouchers

The U.S. Senate voted 55-42 on March 16 to reject Sen. Joe Lieberman’s plan to reauthorize the District of Columbia’s school voucher plan, a federally funded program that subsidizes tuition at religious and other private schools.
