It seems football players at Clemson University must pass a religious test in order to play for the school’s team.

DeMint’s Demented History: Heritage Foundation Head Claims Faith Freed The Slaves

The Religious Right loves to twist history to suit its agenda, and the latest culprit to tell a tall tale of the past is former U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint.

DeMint, a Tea Party favorite who represented South Carolina from 2005-2013, is now head of the conservative Washington, D.C.-based think tank Heritage Foundation. Heritage is a sponsor of the Values Voter Summit, the Religious Right’s big annual strategy meeting in Washington. (Heritage used to focus on low taxes, low regulation and free markets. We Have Ways Of Making You Talk: AFA Cries Foul Over ‘Day Of Silence’ In Schools

Today is the 18th annual Day of Silence, an activist effort designed to bring attention to anti-LGBT bullying in schools and colleges. Founded by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), the project encourages students to take a vow of silence for the day to demonstrate the “silencing effect” that bullying and harassment has on LGBT youth.

Putrid Pundits: Bill O’Reilly, Ben Stein Call For More Religion In Public Life

The Religious Right is still trying to sell Americans on the idea that merging religion and government is just the thing to turn this country around in a hurry, and now they’re getting some assistance from two media personalities: Bill O’Reilly and Ben Stein.

In an interview on NBC’s “Today Show” this morning, Fox News host O’Reilly said Americans are tired of secularism.
