On November 17th, the Houston Chapter will be hosting an evening with John Nichols at Congregation Emanu El on 1500 Sunset Blvd. Houston, Texas. The event will start at 7:30pm. John Nichols will be presenting on The Crumbling Wall: Religion in Today’s Presidential Politics.
John Nichols is best known for his political commentary and writing for several high profile publications such as The Nation, The Progressive, In These Times, The New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune. He was also the National Affairs Correspondent for The Nation and the Associate Editor of Capital Times, the daily newspaper in Madison, Wisconsin. Nichols has also written the blog Beat, a political blog, since 1999. His posts have been circulated internationally, have been quoted in numerous books and have been mentioned in political debates. He has also been a frequent guest on radio and television talk shows while also being featured in documentaries such as Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism, Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election, Call It Democracy, and Orwell Rolls in His Grave. Nichols has written a number of books, including: The Genius of Impeachment: Jews for Buchanan, and Dick: The Man Who is President.
